Troy Gaffey, CEO

Mr. Gaffey was formerly Chief Engineer and Senior Vice President of Research and Engineering at Bell Helicopter. He is one of the most experienced executives and vertical lift aeronautical engineers in the aircraft industry today. Troy has been instrumental in the design and development of numerous civilian and military helicopters, and has extensive expertise in the areas of Project Management, Tiltrotor Design/Technology, Rotorcraft Aeromechanics, and Test and Evaluation


Kendall Goodman, COO

Mr. Goodman Joined AVX in January 2017. His responsibilities include; Program Capture, Program Execution, and Advanced Design. Mr. Goodman spent 23 years at Bell Helicopter working Advanced Development Programs prior to joining AVX. Kendall has been awarded six patents and is a three time recipient of the Textron Chairman’s Award for Innovation.


Don Taylor, CFO

Mr. Taylor was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bell Helicopter Textron.  Don has held numerous finance and business management positions and also has had overall responsibility for Finance, USG and Commercial Contracts Administration and Information Technology.


Frank King, Senior VP of Business Development

Mr. King is a former Bell Helicopter Textron Senior Executive Director with 35 years’ experience in helicopter program management and marketing. Mr. King has extensive commercial and military rotorcraft marketing experience on a global scale.


Alan Myers, Chief Engineer- FARA CP

Mr. Myers is the former Deputy Chief of Test for the CH-53K helicopter at Sikorsky Aircraft. Additionally, the former Technical Director for the H-1 Upgrades Program and Chief Engineer of the Model 430 Development Program at Bell Helicopter. Alan has Extensive experience in leading the design and flight tests of new helicopters including the Bell Model 412, the OH-58D, and numerous other prototype helicopter configurations.


Dale Sowers, Deputy Chief Engineer- Air Vehicle IPT-FARA CP

Mr. Sowers has over 35 years in Engineering and Management advancing from Chief Engineer of Medium Helicopters to Program Manager and Engineering Director. Dale has over 17 years experience in design and integration of propulsion systems on numerous aircraft systems including the OH-58D, 412EPI, M429, AH-1Z, M609 and V22.

Stan Messinger, FLRAA Program Manager

Mr. Messinger has 33+ years in Aerospace and has held senior leadership roles at Bell Helicopter in Engineering, Operations Management, Supplier Management and Program Management.  Stan has extensive experience in the design and fabrication of complex composite components.


Mike Cox, Director of Communications

Mr. Cox served as Vice President of Communications for Bell Helicopter Textron. Prior to Bell, Mike was the Director of Public Affairs for the Air Mobility Command in the U.S. Air Force. Mike retired as a Colonel after 26 years of military service.


Jennifer Reinhard, Manager Administration & FSO

Ms. Reinhard graduated with a BA in Liberal Arts from Southern Virginia University in 2007. Jennifer joined AVX in 2010 and holds the positions of Office Manager and Facility Security Officer (FSO).
